Nick Langton was appointed Executive Director of the Commission for Educational Exchange Between the United States and Nepal (USEF Nepal) in August 2022. A governance specialist with deep expertise in South Asia, he has led a broad range of development and relief programs in the region for more than 35 years. During 2013-2020, he served in a variety of capacities with Pact Inc., including as Country Director in Nepal and Myanmar and Asia-Eurasia Regional Director. Prior to joining Pact, he served as The Asia Foundation’s Country Representative in India and focal point for its regional programs in South Asia. His other extensive experience with The Asia Foundation includes postings as Country Representative in Nepal, Philippines/Pacific Islands, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka/Maldives, along with short-term leadership and consultancy assignments throughout Asia. He has served on Fulbright boards in three countries: Philippines (1997-1999), Nepal (2000-2003), and India (2010-2013).
