Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) is delighted to welcome you to the annual South and Central Asia Fulbright Conference. This gathering provides an extraordinary platform to share and celebrate Fulbright experiences, exchange ideas, and reaffirm our commitment to the prestigious Fulbright program.

Over the next three days, we will have the privilege of learning about the academic work of U.S. Fulbright scholars in South and Central Asia. Fulbrighters will share their methodologies, findings, and the challenges and triumphs they’ve encountered while living, working, and studying in a culture different from their own. This conference also offers an opportunity to reflect on our institutional mission—the promotion of mutual understanding between the citizens of South and Central Asia and the United States—and the vital role Fulbright scholars play in fulfilling this mission.

This year, we are excited to host approximately 100 American Fulbrighters—students and scholars affiliated with academic institutions across the region. They represent diverse academic disciplines, specializations, and affiliations in the United States. We look forward to engaging with you during the sessions and connecting more informally during breaks and social gatherings.

I want to take a moment to recognize the effort, dedication, and enthusiasm of the USIEF team in planning and organizing this conference. The best way we can express our gratitude is by making the most of these next few days—engaging actively in the sessions, fostering connections, and exchanging ideas.

We are especially thrilled to host this year’s conference in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Known as the “Pink City of India,” Jaipur is a city rich in history, vibrant culture, and stunning architecture. From its splendid fortresses and majestic palaces to its tranquil temples and beautiful havelis, Jaipur offers a truly unique experience. I hope you find time to enjoy all that this remarkable city has to offer.
