
Faroha Suhrawardy
Faroha Suhrawardy joined U.S. Embassy, Dhaka in 2017 and his current portfolio covers professional exchanges i.e., Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship, Professional Fellowship on Economic Empowerment and the U.S. Fulbright Specialist Program, U.S. Speaker Programs, U.S. Cultural Envoys, Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP), and other strategic engagements with key opinion leaders. Prior to Embassy Dhaka, he was the Senior Press Officer at British High Commission, Dhaka. Faroha participated the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program in 2003 and attended the University of Maryland, College Park to study broadcast journalism.
Faroha has a Bachelor and a Master of political science from Dhaka University and a Master of public policy and governance from North South University. Faroha has also worked for the Bangladesh Civil Service, the FAO of the United Nations, and Voice of America. He received the Rolls-Royce Award from the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) for his innovative project idea on digital broadcasting in 2001. Faroha is married with one son.
