Karina Keating
Karina Keating is the Branch Chief for South and Central Asia Fulbright Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. She has a combined 18 years of experience overseeing academic, professional, and cultural exchanges, as well as communications and branding strategies. Previously, Karina served as Program Manager and Team Lead for the International Visitor Leadership Program at CRDF Global, an NGO in Arlington, Virginia focused on promoting global security. She has also managed study tours in partnership with the Department of State’s Office of International Visitors and the Office of Citizen Exchanges at Meridian International Center in Washington, DC, and served as a Brand Strategist for first-time authors at Greenleaf Book Group in Austin, Texas. Karina holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Analysis & Resolution from George Mason University, and a Bachelor’s in International Affairs from the George Washington University. She grew up in Dubai, UAE, studied abroad in France, and speaks varying levels of Arabic, Danish, and French.
